On September 20, 2008, the Village of Tijeras held
the biggest and greatest event in its history. The
Dedication of the Luis Garcia Park and the
Veterans Memorial that lies within it was particularly
special as it also celebrated the Village's 35th
Anniversary as an incorporated entity. To read

| Over 1,500 people showed up to help us celebrate this unique benchmark in Village history! The park is still under construction - landscaping and fencing should be finished by spring. Look for announcements of park regular hours. The Luis Garcia Park is located just west of the East Mountain Library and behind the Village of Tijeras Visitors Center.
